Spunge.org pretty much offers any net service there is. Spunge.org is currently limited by bandwidth and CPU. Things like Streaming Audio/Video and CPU intensive applications are not allowed.

Shell
The shell account generally comes with a 5 meg soft quota, and a 10 meg hard quota of disk space. The quota is only a way to keep things in check. If more space is needed, it usually isn't a problem to get more. The shell also comes with email (popable), web space, and FTP space if you need. The shell account is pretty much needed for all other services here. I have several reasons for that.

Requirements:
That the user acts responsible (from my point of view), and remembers that others also use the systems.

General Rules:
* No sharing accounts
* No abusing anything (abuse is defined by me. If I think you are abusing it, then you are)
* Enjoy it

FTP
The ftp access is generally via ftp.spunge.org. this is for both anonymous FTP, and the user FTP, unless the user has an account on games.spunge.org, then games.spunge.org is the users FTP server. The user may request an anonymous FTP area. This will count as part of the users quota.

Requirements:
A Shell Account

General Rules:
* No putting anything illegal there. I have the right to remove it, and your account.
* No putting anything questionable there (you know what I mean?).

POP 3
A user can get POP 3 email. The server used for this, is mail.spunge.org, unless the user has an account on games.spunge.org, then games.spunge.org is users POP3 server. POP 3 mail comes with a shell account.

Requirements:
A Shell Account

General Rules:
* No spaming

Web Pages
Web pages are a general part of a shell account. The space used by them, is taken as part of your disk quota. The URL will be

http://www.spunge.org/~username would be the url. Just replace "username" with your username.

Requirements:
A Shell Account

General Rules:
* No putting anything illegal on the pages
* No porn
* Remember it is a slow link, try to keep graphic sizes down.

MySQL
MySQL is a very stable, powerful, and useful database. Users can have access to MySQL, though they need to contact
me first.

Requirements:
A Shell Account

Virtual Hosting
This is a new little adventure for me. Right now it is limited to web pages only. I di user Named based IP Hosting.

Requirements:
A Shell Account
A domain name you owner, and are not using or you can request a something.spunge.org hostname.

General Rules:
* be patient with me :)

Mailing Lists
It is possible to apply for this by first filling out the application at
www.spunge.org/newaccount.php, then mailing-list@spunge.org. I use Majordomo 1.94.4 as the list software. It can do archiving, digest lists, as well as the regular lists. I also have MajorCool for users to use to configure their lists. If a user wants their list archived to the web, I do this with MHonArc. I have also have a web based subscription interface that can be used, as well as some simple join/leave aliases.

Requirements:
A Shell Account

General Rules:
* No huge lists (bandwidth limitation)
* No very very active lists (bandwidth limitation)
