STIXX is a small linux distro (nothing special, it's a Zipslack) who can boot in and from an usb-pen.

It is composed from:
  • the bootdisk, for the first boot and if your bios doesn't support booting from USB-HDD or USB-ZIP
    There are various ways to boot into stixx; from Windows using Loadlin, with a Syslinux bootdisk, with a Freedos+Loadlin bootdisk, from Lilo/Grub directly from your HD
  • the zipped root, with all the packets needed for a little but complete and ready-to-go linux box

    VERSIONS
  • Base
    The base version, practically the Zipslack (see packages for the list) plus some binaries to fit in a 128 Mb USB-key
    The added programs are: epic, fetchmail, iptraf, metamail, mutt, postfix, tin
  • Lusso
    You can fit this version in a 256 Mb USB-key, with many useful programs.

  • GT
    The full version. Here you have X and Blackbox, with a dedicated style
